Dr. Mari Estrada’s areas of expertise center on education policy, workforce development, and community-centered student success across the K–12 and higher education continuum. With over a decade of experience as a faculty member, program director, and educational leader in both the California Community College and California State University systems, she brings deep knowledge of teacher preparation, professional development, career pathways, and early childhood education.

Her work emphasizes strategic planning, policy development, and cross-sector collaboration to ensure students are supported from preschool through college and into the workforce. This includes partnering with educators, institutions, employers, and community organizations to align education with real-world opportunities while strengthening support systems for students and families.

Grounded in lived experience as a public school graduate, a parent of Camarillo High School alumni, and a longtime advocate for Ventura County families, Dr. Estrada is committed to fostering safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environments. Her leadership reflects a deep belief in public education as a powerful vehicle for equity, opportunity, and community well-being.
